Lela Lee


Lela Lee's "Angry Little Asian Girl" animated videos took film festivals by storm in 1998 and were featured in Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation. Lee created an "Angry Little Asian Girl" comic strip, then expanded the cast and renamed the comic "Angry Little Girls." Comic Book Resources reports that "Angry Little Girls" cartoonish Lela Lee hit Los Angeles's Indie 103.1 FM for a show with Image Comics creators Rob Schrab, Joe Casey, and Mark Sable. A Lee-related tidbit:

For her part, Lela Lee is preparing for Comic-Con her back-to-school line, with products including pencils, calculators that say, "Stupid people get on my nerves" and alarm clocks that say, "I hate school." In addition to her "Angry Little Girls" books, Lee's handbags, shirts, wallets and other merchandise has been available in Hot Topic, and will be available in San Rio stores.
