Secret Identities
"Secret Identities" is an Asian American comic book anthology edited by Jeff Yang, Parry Shen, and Keith Chow. For more information, visit the official website.
"Secret Identities" editor-at-large Keith Chow points us to this announcement at the official website:
For very good and smart reasons related to publicity, promotion, and the desire by our publisher to get some airspace between our title and another comics-related book they're publishing (Jews and American Comics, by Paul Buhle--check it out), we're moving from Fall 2008 to Spring 2009--with April 1, 2009 our likely date to hit the shelves. This means we should be able to plan our promo campaign around May, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and it also ensures we have planning time in the months before to work with student organizations on a book tour or other campus related publicity.Click here to read the whole post.

Parry Shen, one of the editors of the "Secret Identity" Asian American comics anthology, gives some hints at his Xanga page about what's up with the project. An excerpt:
It's going to be an awesome book with 20+ different creative teams. It'll be hard work logistically and creatively to pull together this 192 page project in the coming months but it's cool to delve into a medium like this and at this level. I'm even more stoked that a few of my own stories were selected and paired with some kicka** artists! Once finished work starts coming in, I'll post a sneak peek of a script page with a finished penciled/inked page for you all to see and compare. The "Secret Identities" editorial team includes EIC Jeff Yang, Editor-at-Large Keith Chow, Managing Editor Parry Shen, Art Director Jerry Ma, and Senior Artist Jeff Castro. For more about the project, visit the official website.
